KJM Shipping was established in July 1994, and has been, since that time, offering a full range of Freight Forwarding & Shipping related services to and from all parts of the globe. During that time we have used the services of local based port agents to complete Import and Export Customs papers.

Late in 2008 we discussed an amalgamation of operations and staff with Freight Marketing Clearance Services UK Limited (FMCS) which now enables us to provide the same services that have been offered since 1994 but with the added advantages that all of the Customs required papers are completed in our offices in Dover and then transmitted via the H.M. Customs & Excise C.H.I.E.F. System. We continue to trade as KJM Shipping, a division of FMCS.

We specialise in Imports from China and Exports to and Imports from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, handling all kinds of goods including Personal Effects & Foodstuffs, both quay to quay and Door to Door.

However, due to the input of cargo volumes provided by FMCS we are hoping to be able to increase these services incorporating other routes & increasing flexibility.

As members of The British International Freight Association (BIFA), FMCS are governed by a strict Code of Conduct incorporating minimum service levels.

To compliment these services, we offer full Open Insurance Marine Cover provided by Northern Marine Underwriters through our Brokers, at Lloyds.

We can, upon receipt of written instructions, and subject to minimal cost, can insure all cargo shipped using our services on a Door to Door on an ‘all risk’ basis. We continue to investigate applying to the UK Revenue and Customs authorities for 'Authorised Economic Operator' Status (AEO) which will, we are assured, enable us to offer an even better service in 2009 and beyond.
